Most of our events are only a one-day experience, apart from Crafty Fest - but that involves hundreds of people. The Retreat is our new learning offering - bringing a more intimate and immersive experienced focused on learning and growth.
Get away from the distractions of home and office life for two full days to gather with your peers, reflect and work on your development.
The Crafty Retreat will hosted at luxury spa hotel, Sopwell House, in Hertfordshire.
We've put together a useful slide deck to explain the Retreat to your manager, showcase the learning you'll receive, and what we're hoping you'll take away from the Retreat.
Who is the Retreat for?
Give yourself the gift of time to connect, learn, and grow alongside a small cohort of up to 20 delegates in a similar position to yourself. You will also be joined by some team members from our insightful and curious sponsors, and the Crafty Counsel team.
The cohort for the Retreat will consist of in-house lawyers who:
- Have recently taken on a senior role such as General Counsel, Regional or Country General Counsel, Business Unit General Counsel, or Head of Legal
- Have people managing responsibilities in their role
- Might have been promoted into that role, or joined from outside the business and want to establish themselves as a legal leader
- Might be reporting (or have a dotted line) to someone other than a member of the Legal team for the first time
What will you learn at the Retreat?
Get a better level of self-awareness by the end of the Retreat. Learn about your strengths, weaknesses, working styles, and behavioural preferences.
You will learn how to apply all your self-awareness and learnings to situations with the Board or senior management teams, and your reporting line upwards.
Grow as a team leader as you become better equipped to manage a team as individuals and a group. Focused on learning a coaching style of management.
